The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Blackbear Web Clipper
Blackbear Web Clipper saves what you're reading to Blackbear, the private, local-first home for your notes, docs, tasks and more.
Click the toolbar button (or press Ctrl+Shift+Y, ⌘⇧Y on Mac) and choose what to keep:
• Article: the readable text of the page, without ads and clutter
• Selection: just the text you highlighted
• Link: the page's address and title
• Recipe: on recipe pages, the ingredients and steps
Add a note if you like and save. The clip arrives in Web Clips in Blackbear as an ordinary note you can search, tag, link and edit.
Private by design
• Each clip is encrypted in your browser to one of your own Blackbear devices before it is sent. Blackbear's servers only pass it along and cannot read it.
• The clipper reads a page only when you click it, and only that tab. It never reads your history, other tabs or cookies, and it collects no analytics.
• Pairing gives your browser a key that can only send clips. It can't read anything in your account, and you can revoke it anytime in Blackbear.
Getting started
1. In Blackbear, open Settings → Connections → Web Clipper and create a pairing code.
2. Open the clipper's settings, paste the code, and check that the fingerprint matches.
3. Clip away. If you're offline, clips wait and are sent later.
