About BidLens by ECX Analytics
BidLens overlays bid economics on the salvage auction pages you already use - AutoOnline detail pages, WOM lot pages and ECX auction pages - so you can price a lot without a spreadsheet.
WHERE IT WORKS
- speedonline.autoonline.com - AutoOnline detail pages
- web.womauktion.com - WOM lot pages
- europeancarxchange.com - ECX auction pages
For vehicles auctioned in Germany. The calculation uses the German pre-accident value, the repair figures of the German assessment and German VAT; a vehicle collected outside Germany is marked and not priced.
BidLens is a companion to those platforms. You need your own AutoOnline, WOM or ECX buyer account to reach the auctions; BidLens gives you no access to them and never bids for you.
WHAT YOU SEE ON EVERY AUCTION
- Break-even bid for your own inputs - the most you can pay and still reach the margin you set, as a VAT-registered dealer selling under the margin scheme. Every input is visible; the repair figures, your own repair cost, resale, transport and margin are yours to edit.
- Your own workshop labour - the assessor's hours are re-priced at the own-workshop rate of the country you select, with no VAT on your own labour, so a German assessment reads correctly for a buyer in Romania, Hungary or Poland.
- Parts for the car's age - replacement parts are priced at your market's share of the German list price, which follows the age of the car. Parts, paint and other repair items are counted net of the VAT a registered dealer reclaims.
- Taxes and fees - the VAT due on your margin under the margin scheme, the Polish excise on the purchase price where it applies, and the buyer fee of the platform you are on.
- Full P&L - expected resale, the VAT on the margin, parts, paint, other repair items, your own labour, transport, excise, the platform fee, the break-even bid and the profit at your target margin.
- Every country - the break-even bid for the same car in each supported country, each with its own costs: red where a country can pay more than you, green where it cannot.
- Market parts value - for heavily damaged cars BidLens shows what the market pays for such a car (a share of the pre-accident value by the size of the damage and the age of the car) whenever that is more than the figure it would show otherwise.
- Recycling mode - when repair and resale does not work, BidLens switches to a scrap-and-parts calculation.
- Live macro data - ECB reference rates, EU fuel prices, the Eurostat labour-cost index.
- PrismScope estimate (add-on) - the range in which the highest bid for comparable vehicles and damage has fallen in past auctions.
SECURITY - BIDLENS READS, IT DOES NOT ACT
- It reads the auction page and the platform's public data for the vehicle you are looking at, and adds its own panel to the page. It changes nothing else on the page.
- It never fills in a field, never clicks anything for you, and never places, changes or submits a bid. Bidding stays entirely in your hands, on the platform's own page.
- It does not read your cookies and does not intercept the page's network traffic. The only thing it keeps in the page is the zoom level of its own panel.
- It runs only on AutoOnline detail pages, WOM lot pages and ECX auction pages. On every other website your browser does not load it at all.
- Your ECX credential is held by the extension, never exposed to the page.
WHAT BIDLENS IS NOT
BidLens shows estimates for professional buyers. It is not a valuation, not an appraisal, not an offer and not a recommendation to bid any amount. The break-even bid is the result of your own inputs. You decide what to bid and you bear the consequences. Terms of Use: https://ecx.ag/terms/
ACCESS
Sign in with your ECX Analytics account in the extension - nothing to copy or paste. A new account starts a trial; after that, access runs on your ECX balance or your contract. ECX Analytics accounts are separate from the ECX marketplace at europeancarxchange.com. Questions: sales@ecx.ag
PRIVACY & DATA
Built and operated by European Car Xchange AG (Zurich, Switzerland). BidLens collects only what it needs to run:
- Sign in with ECX - when you sign in, we receive your name and email address from ECX's identity provider to activate your licence, and the extension stores the issued credential locally in your browser to keep you signed in. The version of the Terms of Use you accepted is recorded with your ECX account.
- Activation telemetry - each time the widget activates, and when you open the BidLens panel, we log the auction ID, platform, the vehicle make, the BidLens version, your IP address and an IP-derived country code, your browser's user-agent string and a timestamp, to monitor service health and your licence activity.
- Vehicle details from the page - the figures the auction publishes for the vehicle you are looking at (make, model, registration, mileage, power, fuel, engine capacity, repair figures, pre-accident value) are sent to ECX's servers to check the break-even bid shown to you (together with the values you typed: resale, your own repair cost, transport, margin), when the panel asks what a PrismScope estimate would cost, and when you request one.
We never collect passwords, payment details, the bids you place, or any page content outside the supported auction platforms. All data is processed on EU-hosted infrastructure. No third-party advertising trackers; no data sold.
