BandwidthBank lets you share spare internet bandwidth with the Mellowtel network. That is all it does: there are no other features, no ads and no surveys. How it works - After installing, you see a consent page. Sharing is off until you accept it, and you can turn it off again at any time from the extension popup (button "Stop sharing") or from the Mellowtel settings page linked in the popup. - While sharing is on and at least one regular web page is open in your browser, the Mellowtel network may use a small part of your connection to load public web pages for its partners. - The popup shows whether sharing is on and how many jobs your browser has handled. - Users who share receive an optional reward for each job handled. Rewards can be withdrawn to a PayPal account once a minimum balance is reached. Earnings depend on network demand and are not guaranteed; you may receive few jobs, or none, for long periods. What you should know before you opt in - Sharing only runs while your browser is open with at least one regular web page (http/https) open. - Mellowtel loads pages in hidden frames. For this it temporarily relaxes some web-security response headers (such as X-Frame-Options and Content-Security-Policy) for those frame requests, and on pages you open it requests a small image from a Mellowtel server, which can see your IP address and the site address. - Mellowtel jobs run in a separate, credential-less window.
