The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About AutoFillExt
AutoFillExt fills web forms using CSS Selector and XPath locators, taking the repetition out of logins, sign-ups, captchas and other routine typing. Autofill data stays in your local browser storage; nothing is uploaded.
■ What it does
• Element targeting — new locators use CSS Selector or XPath and cover the vast majority of web forms; legacy text locators keep working.
• Auto-click — a locator can either fill a field or click a button, so a form can be submitted right after it is filled.
• Multiple value sets — keep several sets of values per rule and switch between work and personal accounts from the popup.
• URL matching — exact, regular-expression and glob matching cover subdomains, multiple login paths and URLs with parameters.
• Import and export — export rules as JSON via the clipboard or a file, including the current format, the V1 layout and the early Base64 format, for backup and migration.
• OCR captcha recognition — built-in local ddddocr inference; Pro adds PaddleOCR (PP-OCRv6).
• Dark mode — follows the system theme in both the popup and the rule management panel.
■ Free and Pro
Free covers up to 10 rules, with up to 3 locators, 3 URL patterns and 2 value sets per rule. Pro removes those limits and adds PaddleOCR. Pro is activated with a License Key through "Upgrade / enter License Key" in the popup.
■ Data and privacy
• Usernames, passwords, rules, value sets, OCR images and page content are stored only in your local browser storage and are never uploaded.
• License checks require the network and send only the License Key or signed license metadata, a device hash, the extension version and a nonce.
• If the network is unavailable, basic autofill keeps working and Pro enters a grace period.
• Locally stored data is not encrypted; avoid untrusted devices and export a backup regularly.
Permissions (activeTab, storage, scripting, clipboardRead, clipboardWrite, tabs) are used only to read the current page, inject the rule management panel, save settings and access the clipboard.
