The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About AutoControl_mv3
⚡ AutoControl_mv3 — unofficial Manifest V3 port (keyboard shortcuts + mouse gestures)
The original AutoControl listing was removed from the Chrome Web Store. This is a community port with a new name and a new store ID so it is not an update of that item.
⚠️ Not the original product. Not affiliated with the original authors. Settings UI stays in English.
The listing is only so people can install it easily. If it infringes the original AutoControl authors’ rights, it will be taken down.
✨ What still works
• Keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures through the original Windows native engine
• Those shortcuts still work on Chrome’s own chrome:// pages (history, bookmarks, extensions) — ordinary extensions cannot
• Open URL, including chrome:// pages
• Tab actions: switch, pin, mute, reopen closed tab
• Run Script / ACtl on normal web pages (enable “Allow user scripts”)
• Settings import / export (.acs)
🔧 Setup
1. Install from the Chrome Web Store
2. Open the extension → Install the native component → run the installer
3. If Chrome says the native host is forbidden: run Allow-AutoControl_mv3-native.bat, then reload
4. Details → turn on “Allow user scripts”
5. A few sample shortcuts are already there — edit them in Extension options. Full list: https://github.com/jotenbai/AutoControl_mv3#built-in-shortcuts-first-install

Issues and pull requests welcome (store reviews alone are harder to act on).
📌 Why this port
Chrome Manifest V3 killed the always-on background page. The original team stopped. This build runs the same obfuscated logic in a service worker plus shims. Some hover-region conditions are broken in Chrome 148+ (native hit-test, MV2 and MV3 alike).
🔒 Privacy
Settings stay on your PC. Usage telemetry is off unless you enable it in Advanced Options. Policy: https://github.com/jotenbai/AutoControl_mv3/blob/master/webstore/privacy.md
