About Auto Backup for X Posts

Keep your own X posts on hand in case of sudden trouble such as a suspension or lock. Auto Backup for X Posts adds your own X posts to this browser once a day while Chrome is open. There is nothing to request and nothing to wait for, and you can search your saved posts by text or date. It also suits anyone who wants to keep their past posts before deleting them, or who searches and exports their past posts as material for notes or blog writing. How this differs from X's own "Download an archive of your data" - According to X's official help, the official archive may take several days to prepare after you request it. You need to be logged in to X to download it. - For a suspended account, the route is a separate "Request access to your personal information", not the usual self-service request. The time it takes is not published. - This extension adds your posts automatically every day. No request is needed, and what is already saved is searchable right away. - You can also import the official zip. Load your older posts from the official archive, and let this extension add new ones automatically from then on. - It is not a replacement for the official archive. It adds a daily safety net. Important: your posts are stored only in this browser - Saved posts exist only inside this browser. Chrome sync does not carry them to other devices, and removing the extension removes them too. - Despite the name, that alone is not a copy kept somewhere else. We recommend exporting to JSON from time to time (free) and keeping the file elsewhere. If 30 days pass without an export, the panel suggests one. Daily automatic backup - Runs once a day while Chrome is open. When Chrome starts and it has been more than 20 hours since the last backup, it runs then. - To back up, it opens your own profile on x.com in an inactive (background) tab and closes the tab when it is done. The tab is usually open for a few dozen seconds (the daily backup and "Back up now" close it within 60 seconds at most). The first time, it opens the X home page to recognize your account, then moves to your profile. - You need to be logged in to X in Chrome. Press "Back up now" in the side panel once, and the extension remembers your account. - The daily backup and "Back up now" read up to 10 pages (about 200 posts). For older posts, "Back up older posts" reads up to 50 pages (about 1,000 posts) per press; it takes a few minutes, and pressing it again continues where it stopped. It waits 2 to 4 seconds between pages. - When you view your own profile as usual, the posts that page loads are saved as well. - The top of the panel always shows the last backup and the next scheduled one. You can turn automatic backup off in the panel (this also stops saving while you browse your profile). - If a backup stops because you are not logged in to X or X asked it to wait, an "!" appears on the extension icon and the panel shows the reason. (When the free 1,000-post limit is reached, the top of the panel tells you.) - While you are not logged in to X, the extension cannot read new posts. Posts saved before that stay in your browser. What it reads, and what it doesn't - Only the posts of the account you are logged in with are saved. Viewing someone else's profile saves nothing. - It never writes anything to X: no posting, liking, or deleting. - If X asks it to wait, or your login cannot be confirmed, it stops right away and does not retry automatically until the next day's backup. It also stops right away if X responds in an unexpected form. - Image and video files are not saved (only their URLs are recorded). - The automatic backup reads the list of posts shown on your profile. Posts that don't appear there (such as reposts and replies) may not be saved by the automatic backup. Importing the official archive (zip) adds the posts contained in that archive. Search your saved posts - Search by words in the text (separate words with spaces to match posts containing all of them). - Filter by date range, type (post, quote, reply, repost), and posts with images or videos. Results are shown newest first, 50 at a time, and each one links to the original post on X. Backup history - For the last 30 backups, the panel shows the date and time, what started it (automatic, manual, older posts, or browsing), how many posts were added, how many pages were read, and why it stopped. Import and export - Import your official X archive (zip). Archives from a different account are refused. - Export your saved posts as JSON and restore them from JSON (free). - Export as Markdown or CSV is a Pro feature. - You can delete all locally saved data from the panel (nothing is deleted from X). Pricing - Free: up to 1,000 saved posts. Includes automatic backup, "Back up now", "Back up older posts", search, backup history, official archive import, JSON export and restore, and deleting local data. The panel tells you when you are getting close to the limit; once it is reached, new posts are no longer saved (this is also recorded in the backup history). - Pro — ¥980 (JPY, tax included, one-time payment): unlimited saved posts, plus Markdown and CSV export. This is a single one-time purchase, not a monthly or yearly subscription. If you have already purchased Pro and reinstall or move to another browser, use "Already purchased? Restore" in the panel. Permissions and data - Access to x.com is used only to read the list of your own posts. The extension does not access any other site. - To load further pages, it temporarily reuses, inside that page, the authentication values the page itself uses to talk to X. They are neither stored nor sent anywhere. - Saved posts are kept in this browser and are not sent to our servers. Pro purchases and purchase checks are handled by ExtensionPay (payments by Stripe). - Removing the extension also removes the saved data. If you want a copy, export it first (for example as JSON). - Privacy policy: https://kesora.app/privacy Please note - This ext…
