About Auguste by BlazeTalent
Auguste: Recruiter-First Candidate Intelligence
Auguste verifies candidate data consistency in real time — before your next phone screen, not after.
Think of it as a lightweight firewall for your recruiting workflow. Auguste checks whether the digital signals a candidate provides — resume, phone number, professional profiles — line up the way they should. When they don't, you know in seconds.
AUGUSTE 2.8.3 — RELEASE NOTES (August 2026)
## Upgraded phone verification
Auguste's carrier and line-type lookup has been rebuilt on a new data provider, delivering more accurate and dependable results when you attempt to verify a phone number.
## Clearer line-type signals
Phone results now use an at-a-glance traffic-light indicator — green for wireless/mobile, red for VOIP — so the signals that matter stand out instantly. A new amber "inconclusive" state appears when a number can't be confidently classified, prompting a closer look instead of a false read.
## Updated Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
We've refreshed our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review them, linked from the extension footer.
##Stability & polish
Further under-the-hood improvements to the verification pipeline and interface for a smoother, more reliable experience across Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers.
## CORE CAPABILITIES
**Resume and Profile Consistency Checks**
Drag and drop a PDF resume for a real-time consistency review.
**Resume Metadata Analysis**
Auguste reads the underlying structure of PDF resumes and surfaces signals invisible to the naked eye — how a resume was created, not just what it says:
- Programmatic generation detection: flags resumes built with automated PDF libraries instead of standard word processors.
- Regional software signals: detects file signatures from region-specific software that may not match a candidate's stated location.
- Operating system anomalies: flags rare or inconsistent OS fingerprints embedded in the file structure.
**Professional Presence Validation**
Confirms a public professional footprint exists that matches the candidate's stated background and work history.
**LinkedIn URL Resolution**
Verifies LinkedIn links resolve to active, matching profiles.
**Email Signal Analysis**
Distinguishes established email accounts from newly created or recycled aliases.
**Phone and Carrier Signal Analysis**
Identifies line type — separating standard mobile numbers from VoIP numbers commonly used to mask identity — and reveals the underlying carrier.
**Anomaly Scoring**
Aggregates every signal into a single Anomaly Score so you know exactly when a profile deserves a deeper look.
## BUILT FOR PRIVACY, BY DESIGN
**Zero Data Retention**
All candidate data is processed in memory and discarded immediately. Auguste never stores, archives, or resells resumes or personal data.
**Encrypted, Stateless Processing**
Analysis runs through secure, encrypted infrastructure with no persistent user or candidate tracking.
## WHY RECRUITERS USE AUGUSTE
**Spot inconsistencies early.** Identify high-anomaly profiles before you schedule the call or submit the candidate.
**Protect trust and integrity.** Add a technical validation layer to your process without slowing it down.
**Zero workflow friction.** No dashboards, no logins. Open the extension and get clarity in seconds. Auguste works where you already work.
## COMPLIANCE AND RESPONSIBLE USE
Auguste is a technical signal provider, not a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA). It does not perform background checks or make hiring decisions. The Anomaly Score reflects data consistency, not candidate intent — it supports recruiter judgment, never replaces it.
