About AudioMatch: YouTube Audio Language Detector and Dub Filter
Stop clicking videos that turn out to be in a language you don't speak.
YouTube now auto-translates video titles and adds AI dubbed audio tracks. A title in English no longer means the video is spoken in English. AudioMatch shows the original spoken audio language on every thumbnail, so you know before you click.
WHAT IT DOES
• Shows the real spoken language on every YouTube thumbnail (English, Spanish, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and 40+ more)
• Flags videos with dubbed audio tracks, including YouTube AI auto-dubbing, with a "Dubbed" tag
• Dims or hides videos spoken in other languages, or just labels them. Your choice.
• Shows the spoken language next to the title on the watch page
• Labels playlists by the language most of their videos are spoken in, for example "Hindi 7/8", or "Mixed" when no language leads
• Works on Search, Home, Subscriptions, the watch-page sidebar and playlists
• Looks native in YouTube light and dark mode
HOW IT WORKS
AudioMatch reads the public speech-recognition caption track and audio track list that YouTube already publishes for each video. The speech-recognition track reveals the language actually spoken, even when the title has been translated. If a video has more than one audio track, it has been dubbed, and AudioMatch shows the track YouTube marks as original.
WHO IT IS FOR
• Language learners who want native-speaker content only
• Bilingual viewers tired of translated clickbait titles
• Anyone who wants to turn off YouTube auto-dubbed audio and find the original
• Parents who want a feed in the family's language
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up, no ads
• No analytics or tracking of any kind
• No data is sent to Sorami or anyone else
• Results are cached on your device only, and you can clear them any time
SIMPLE SETTINGS
Click the toolbar icon to pick your language (it defaults to your browser language), choose Dim, Hide or Label only, and toggle the chips on or off.
LIMITS, HONESTLY
If a creator has disabled captions and YouTube has no speech-recognition track, the chip shows "Unknown" instead of guessing.
