Arkyvst

A file can only live in one folder, but it is usually several things at once: a product shot, approved for social, from last spring's shoot, etc. Arkyvst lets a file be all of those, and lets you find it again by searching via tag. It works with whatever is already in your account, personal or Workspace, with no admin setup. You sign in with Google so it can read the names, types and thumbnails of your files. WHAT IT ADDS • A sidebar where you tag any file, or many at once, without leaving the page you are on. • Separate vocabularies for different kinds of files, so photo tags appear on photos and contract tags on contracts. • A search that narrows thousands of files down to one. Each term you click cuts the pile further, across every folder and Shared Drive. Preview the results, then download or collect them in one go. • An inbox of everything in your chosen folders that has not been sorted yet, so new uploads never slip through. Work through it in batches. • Collections you share as a single link. Recipients see a clean gallery page, no Google account required, and you can tell when it has been opened. • Your terms shown in the menu bar of an open document or spreadsheet, editable right there. • Shared libraries for teams, with roles that control who can tag and who can edit the library. HOW IT TREATS YOUR FILES They stay exactly where they are. Arkyvst never renames, moves or edits them, and never stores their contents. It reads names, types and thumbnails to show them in the sidebar, and only creates something in your account when you ask it to, such as a collection folder.
