Amazonize Rakuten

A browser extension that rebuilds Rakuten Ichiba item pages into a clear, Amazon-style 3-column layout. Compare Rakuten and Amazon prices without switching tabs, see your cart total, apply the best coupon automatically and enter campaigns in bulk — taking the hassle out of shopping on Rakuten. (Rakuten Ichiba and Amazon.co.jp are Japanese sites; this extension works on those sites.) ■ Clearer item pages ・Rebuilds the page into 3 columns: images / details / buy box. Add to cart without scrolling through long descriptions ・Gathers product images buried in the description into the gallery on the left; identical images are merged into one ・Click an image to enlarge it; use the ←→ keys to move to the next image ・Product videos sit in the gallery too. They never autoplay — only when you press play ・Shows item and shop review ratings under the product name ・Shows the Amazon price for the same item right under the Rakuten price (with the Amazon product name, rating and a link to the search results) ・Items matched by JAN code are marked "JAN match"; items found by name are marked "Reference" ■ Rakuten price and link on Amazon item pages ・Shows a link and price for the same item on Rakuten Ichiba on Amazon.co.jp item pages ・Matches by JAN code, ISBN, model number and product name, in that order, and skips items whose specs or quantity differ ・Shops that are closed or under renovation are left out of the candidates ・If nothing matches, shows a link to the Rakuten search results instead ・On Amazon wish list pages, and when you add an item to a wish list, suggests nesage.party, a free price-drop email service run by the developer (Japanese only). It opens with your list URL already filled in (can be turned off in the settings) ■ Cart total ・Combines item totals, shipping and points to earn across multiple shops into a single panel ・Also shows the real price after subtracting points ・Follows quantity changes immediately, with a per-shop breakdown ■ Coupons ・Get the coupons shown on an item page right there, without going to the coupon page ・The coupons you got can be listed from the toolbar button ・On the order confirmation page, automatically switches to the coupon that takes off the most for this order (compared by discount amount, not percentage) ・You can also choose to be asked before applying ・It never presses the order confirmation button. You always place the order yourself ■ Bulk campaign entry ・From the toolbar button, checks the campaigns on the Rakuten top page and enters the ones you have not entered yet, all at once ・Also checks and enters automatically in the background when you open a Rakuten page (every 12 hours; can be turned off in settings) ・No tabs are opened while checking — your screen and tab bar stay as they are ・Enters the same way Rakuten's entry button does, and records an entry only after confirming it shows as entered ・Campaigns that could not be judged automatically are highlighted as "Needs review" ・Lets you review a list of entered campaigns afterwards — something Rakuten does not provide ■ Settings Each feature can be turned on or off from the toolbar icon. ■ Privacy ・It changes the display only on Rakuten Ichiba (rakuten.co.jp) pages and Amazon.co.jp item and wish list pages ・The Amazon price is shown by reading Amazon's search results for the item's name or JAN code. No login information (cookies) is sent to Amazon ・Only when showing the Rakuten price on an Amazon item page, the search terms for that item (JAN code, ISBN, model number, product name) are sent to a relay server for the Rakuten Ichiba Item Search API, operated by the developer. The relay passes them to the Rakuten API and returns the result; it does not receive login information, browsing history, purchases or personal information, and stores nothing except a cache of the result for up to 1 hour ・Apart from those search terms, no browsing history, purchases or personal information is sent to the developer or any third party ・Only when you press the button in the wish list suggestion, nesage.party opens with that list's URL. The extension never sends anything to nesage.party on its own ・Settings, campaign records and the list of coupons you got are stored only in your browser (chrome.storage) ・Getting coupons and review ratings is done only between your browser and Rakuten Ichiba's servers ■ Notes ・This extension is developed by an individual and is not affiliated with Rakuten Group, Inc., Amazon.com, Inc. or their affiliates ・Links to Amazon.co.jp carry an Amazon Associates tag; the developer is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program and earns from qualifying purchases. Clicking such a link opens a short redirect page (nesage.party) run by the developer and then moves on to Amazon.co.jp automatically. Prices and product information are not affected ・Links to Rakuten Ichiba shown on Amazon item pages carry the developer's Rakuten Affiliate ID. Clicking one may set a cookie by Rakuten Group for conversion tracking. Prices and product information are not affected ・If Rakuten Ichiba changes how its pages are built, some features may stop working. Turn the affected feature off in settings to get the original display back
