About AlignBridge
AlignBridge connects Chrome to the AlignBridge app running on
your Mac, so the work you do in the browser becomes part of your private,
on-device work memory.
WHAT IT DOES
When you press Start Recording, the extension captures your own browsing
activity — the pages you visit, what you click, the form fields you fill and
which tab is in focus — and streams it to the AlignBridge desktop app on the
same computer. AlignBridge turns that activity into a searchable memory of how
work actually happens: the processes you follow, the systems you touch, the
steps behind every task.
Recording is always explicit. Nothing is captured until you start a session,
the badge shows the state at all times, and one click stops it.
HOW IT STAYS PRIVATE
• The extension talks ONLY to the AlignBridge app on this computer
(127.0.0.1). It has no servers of its own, no analytics, no ads, and never
sends your data to third parties.
• Every message is authenticated with a token issued by the desktop app
through Chrome native messaging. Without the AlignBridge app installed and
running, the extension cannot capture anything.
• Captured activity is stored by the desktop app on your Mac. If your
workspace uses AlignBridge for teams, your administrator controls whether
and how that on-device memory syncs to your organisation's workspace — that
happens in the desktop app, under your organisation's policy, never from
this extension.
REQUIREMENTS
This extension is a companion to the AlignBridge desktop app for macOS and
does nothing without it. Install the desktop app first, then add this
extension and start a recording session from either side.
WHO IT'S FOR
Teams using AlignBridge to understand and automate their real work — the
extension supplies the browser half of the picture (portals, CRMs, web tools)
that desktop capture alone can't see.
