About AI globe assistant for God's Eye View
This extension puts an AI assistant in Chrome's side panel that steers a live 3D globe in its own tab. It is built on God's Eye View, an open-source geospatial console (MIT license), and is not affiliated with its makers.
START WITHOUT AN AI KEY
• See recent earthquakes worldwide from USGS: one click flies the globe to the latest significant quake, with magnitude, place and time.
• Turn on earthquake alerts for a region and a minimum magnitude you choose.
• Save your favourite places and open them on the globe from the side panel.
ASK THE GLOBE WITH YOUR OWN KEY
Connect your own Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI or Google Gemini API key in the side panel, then ask in plain language:
• "Show recent earthquakes near Japan"
• "Follow the ISS"
• "What am I looking at?"
The assistant moves the camera, switches layers and follows satellites for you. You can also talk to it with your voice and have replies read aloud.
CLEAR ABOUT COST AND PRIVACY
• Your API key stays in this browser and goes only to the provider you choose.
• Each chat shows an estimated cost, with a budget you set.
• Pause stops the globe, the assistant and all data requests at once.
• No analytics and no advertising identifiers.
API usage is billed by your AI provider, separately from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini subscriptions.
OPEN-SOURCE ROOTS
The globe is God's Eye View, built on CesiumJS with public data sources such as USGS earthquakes, CelesTrak satellites and rocket launch schedules.
