afasttest – Internet Speed Test

How fast is your internet — right now? Click the bolt in your toolbar and get an answer in about 15 seconds. WHAT IT MEASURES • Download speed (Mbps) • Upload speed (Mbps) • Ping — idle latency (ms) • Jitter — how stable that latency is (ms) HOW IT WORKS The test runs against Cloudflare's open measurement network — the same edge that powers speed.cloudflare.com, with servers in 300+ cities. Your test almost always reaches a server just a few milliseconds away, so you measure your connection, not the distance to some far-away test server. Several parallel connections stream data for a few seconds each way; the headline number is the 90th percentile of continuously sampled throughput after ramp-up, and upload counts only server-confirmed bytes. WHY THIS ONE • Zero permissions — check the install prompt: it can't read your tabs, history or browsing data • No ads, no account, no tracking, no analytics • Results never leave your device — the extension has no server at all • Fast: about 15 seconds, one click • Tiny: under 100 KB • Available in English, Español, Français, Deutsch, 日本語, 简体中文 and 한국어 WANT THE FULL PICTURE? The popup keeps things simple on purpose. For bufferbloat grades, loaded latency, quality ratings for streaming, video calls and gaming, shareable result cards and test history, run the full test at afasttest.com — it's one click from the popup. PRIVACY This extension collects nothing: no personal data, no identifiers, no stored results. Measurement traffic flows directly between your browser and Cloudflare's endpoints (speed.cloudflare.com), handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
