AdSnap - ss.lv price history

Open a car or property listing on ss.lv or ss.com and a small AdSnap.lv section appears above the photos. It shows how much the price has changed since we started tracking the listing, how many times it changed, and when the last change was. If the price hasn't changed, the section shows that too: since when we've been tracking it, and that nothing changed. For rentals, changes are given for the same period as on the ss.lv listing, for example -50 €/mon. The "Full price history" button opens an adsnap.lv page with detailed information: every price we observed with its date, how many days the car has been for sale and how many times the listing was renewed. A listing that has been up for a long time and renewed several times usually means the seller is ready to talk about the price. The page also compares the car with similar cars: the typical price for the same model, years and fuel, and how far this particular car sits above or below the typical price. For property listings the adsnap.lv page shows the price history; there is no comparison with similar properties yet. The extension's toolbar icon opens the price history of the listing you have open. Works on passenger-car and property listings (sale and rent) on ss.lv and ss.com, in the Latvian, Russian and English versions of the site. When you place a passenger-car listing on ss.lv or ss.com, an AdSnap.lv section appears under the price field. If you're signed in to adsnap.lv, it shows the typical price of similar cars on ss.lv and the price range half of them are listed at. The "Insert" button writes the typical price into the price field only when you press it. The "Also publish on adsnap.lv" button opens the adsnap.lv listing form with the car details, price, listing text, town and the photos you added on ss.lv already filled in. You only add the power, drivetrain and keywords and publish. If you're not signed in, the section shows how many similar cars we have, with links to sign in or register. An AdSnap account is free. AdSnap records a listing when it appears in ss.lv's feed or is renewed there. If a seller changes the price between renewals, we see it at the next renewal, not the same day. So "no change" means "we haven't seen one", not "the price never moved". A brand-new listing has no history yet - it builds up over time. Privacy. On a listing page the extension reads only the address of the listing you have open and sends that listing's identifier to adsnap.lv to look up its price history; that request is not linked to an AdSnap account. On ss.lv's form for placing a passenger-car listing it reads the make, model, year, engine type and deal type and sends the make, model, year and engine type to adsnap.lv; if you are signed in to adsnap.lv in your browser, that request is linked to your AdSnap account. When you press "Also publish on adsnap.lv", it also sends the car details, price, listing text, town and the photos you added on ss.lv to adsnap.lv to fill in your AdSnap listing form. It writes the typical price into the price field only when you press "Insert". It does not read the VIN, number plate, phone, email, your ss.lv account or your browsing history.
