AdShredder: Open Source Ad Blocker

AdShredder blocks ads and trackers. That's it. No catch. Most popular ad blockers are now owned by ad companies or let "acceptable ads" through for a fee. AdShredder doesn't. It is free, open source, and has no business model that depends on showing you ads. WHAT IT DOES - Blocks ads before they load - Blocks trackers and analytics scripts - Hides leftover ad boxes and banners - Optional: removes cookie banners, popups, and social widgets - Shows how many things were blocked on each page WHAT IT DOESN'T DO - No "acceptable ads" whitelist - No accounts or sign-ups - No data collection, analytics, or telemetry - No premium tier OPEN SOURCE All of the code is public. Filter lists come from the community-run EasyList project. SIMPLE MENU - One switch to turn it on or off - Pause on any site that breaks - Choose which filter lists to use Created by Jordan Lee.
