The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Adaptive Feed Reader
Adaptive Feed Reader converts your LinkedIn feed into a compact, Hacker News-style reading view — no images, no noise, just posts.
Click the extension on your LinkedIn feed and the current tab is replaced with a ranked text list of posts. Post links stay clickable, author names link to profiles, and the original feed is always one click away.
Good for:
- Reading your LinkedIn feed without visual clutter.
- Skimming posts fast in a compact ranked layout.
- Focusing on content, not engagement metrics.
- Viewing already-loaded feed content without sending page data anywhere.
Privacy-first behavior:
- Runs only after you click the extension.
- Works only on your LinkedIn feed (www.linkedin.com/feed).
- Reads only the active tab's visible page content.
- Processes everything locally in your browser.
- Does not send page content, profile data, cookies, or browsing history to any server.
- Does not store extracted posts.
Current release notes:
- Designed for the LinkedIn feed. Click "View as Hacker News" to activate, "Normal view" to return.
- The More button loads additional posts when LinkedIn exposes a Load more button or responds to scrolling.
- The extension does not bypass login, scrape in the background, or call private site APIs.
Adaptive Feed Reader is not affiliated with LinkedIn, Hacker News (hackernews, news.ycombinator.com), or Y Combinator.
