Account Switcher for Google™

Fixes Gemini chats and Google links that open as the wrong account. Names the account by email instead of the /u/0 index. Account Switcher for Google™ is an extension for people running several accounts, which reopens the page you are on under an account you name. ■ You have probably had this happen You bookmark a long Gemini conversation. Later you open it and get "not found". The conversation is still there — you are simply looking at it as a different account. Nothing in the address says which account it belonged to. A shared folder that greets you with "You need access", or an inbox you bookmarked that quietly starts opening as somebody else, is the same problem. ■ Why it happens Addresses sometimes carry a number: `/u/0/`, `/u/1/`. That number is nothing more than the order you signed into accounts in that browser. Sign in again, use another computer, or add an account, and the same number now points somewhere else. Some services put no account information in the address at all. Those simply open as whichever account is currently the default. Either way, nothing guarantees you will come back to the same account. ■ What this extension does It rebuilds the address so the account is named by email rather than by position. An email address does not move the way a position does, so the link keeps pointing where you meant. 1. Open the page you want to switch 2. Click the icon in your toolbar 3.
