The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About 2LDW — YouTube Summaries
Add a light-green summary button beside YouTube's Like/Dislike control.
Click “Summarize | 2LDW” to open the video's
main answer, key takeaways, full summary, and promotional analysis on 2ldw.com.
Your YouTube tab stays open.
The button appears in the action row on regular YouTube videos and live-video
pages, with a compact 2LDW button in the Shorts action rail. It follows YouTube
navigation and reattaches when the controls change. It waits for supported
controls and stays hidden on non-video pages and while the player is fullscreen.
Existing summaries open from the saved library. New summaries use available
captions and may require a Cloudflare security check. Queue capacity and request
limits apply. Videos need at least 500 transcript words, so some Shorts will be
too short. Inaccessible videos or missing captions cannot be summarized. No
video download or audio transcription is performed.
The extension can import the video's available transcript directly from your
YouTube tab. On your click it opens the transcript panel, checks that the displayed
text includes the beginning and end, and sends that text, title, channel and player duration to
2LDW. This lets new summaries work when the site's caption retrieval is blocked.
Unsupported or incomplete panels use the ordinary video-link flow instead.
Version 1.1.1 fixes first-click handoffs when you move between YouTube videos
without reloading. New browser-imported summaries also show the video length.
Browser-provided sources are clearly labeled and are not independently verified.
Full validated transcripts are saved in 2LDW's private cache before analysis;
resulting summaries and video metadata are public and indexable. Source is sent
to OpenAI for the requested analysis. No source text is placed in URLs, saved by
the extension, or written to local files. A temporary, single-use transfer passes
through the new 2LDW tab. If it expires, return to YouTube and click again.
The extension contains no analytics or ads and does not read cookies, account
details, comments or browsing history. Site access is limited to the supported
YouTube hosts and the receiving page at https://2ldw.com/start/. No extension
API permissions are requested. Normal CAPTCHA, queue and request limits apply.
Summaries can contain AI mistakes. They describe the spoken transcript and do
not independently fact-check it or review visual information in the video.
2LDW is independent and is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
