This handy SEO tool shows you the Google PageRank of webpages beside the address box. If the PageRank of the page in
current tab is not available, the tool shows the PageRank of the domain instead, prefixed with ‘S’.
The PageRank value is cached locally, so it doesn’t have to hit the server every time you switch tab.
Moreover, click the icon Alexa rank of the site is displayed in dropdown, as well as links-in number and WHOIS check link.

Nice Job! Only suggestion I have is to make the background transparent.
Oh yeah, and maybe there should be an option for it only to check the base domain? So like, if you are watching a youtube video, it’d still show the page rank of youtube even though you’re not on the homepage?
Domain pagerank and alexa rank are one the way.

@Laptop Battery: I cannot reproduce this error on my box (Win XP/Vista + Chrome Dev 4.0.249.0). I have not tested it on Linux yet. Neither on Mac. Can you let me know your Chrome edition, version, and your operation system? I will look into this issue.
@Tiby312 Then how can I tell if the user wants to check out pagerank of the current page or the domain? My plan is, on the toolbar only the rank of the page shows. Click on the icon more info of the domain (e.g. Alexa) shows in popup-window
@Tiby312 Thanks for the advise on the icon background. I know this one is ugly. Just wanted to put together all pieces as soon as I could and grabed one. I’ll get some help create a better one. I myself aren’t a design guy and know nothing about this transparent thing.

I dunno how to install it in windows nor mac, because I use Ubuntu 9.10. In ubuntu, you just drop this file to this folder: /home/USERNAME/.config/google-chrome/Default/Extensions/fjjhjbjicmicphngpolmnmipnobfgflj/0.9.3 (change the USERNAME, and random alphabet may vary depends on your machine).
Surely this step is not necessary after kuber update this extension
This is by far the best PR extension for Chrome. I tried a few others and they were buggy or flat out didn’t work.

Why do pageranks sometimes have a D in front? E.g. D3?
Anyone else experiencing funky symbols being returned instead of a PR number? Everything was working fine until this evening. What I am getting is a squre<ht.
Looks like the account that serves the results is having a problem – it shows a “503 Over Quota” error when you hover over the icon. More popular than planned I guess…

There is a bug in version 0.9.4. I have released V1.0.0 and fixed the bug. Please remember to upgrade the extension.
Plus performance is improved and server hitting is reduced. Now showing PageRank for pages/sites is super fast.
I am running v1.0.0 and the past couple of days I have intermittently been seeing “No Page Rank for Local Pages” message for all sites.
Today it has been that way continuously, for every site I visit.
