Zoptiks for Chrome

Zoptiks for Chrome turns your new tab into a field journal for K–12 families, homeschoolers and classrooms. YOUR NEW TAB • Your Zoptiks Journal Board, the same one you use on the web and in the app. • Every open tab in a sidebar. Drag one onto a lane, a project or a page to keep it, and close the rest. • Today's Synapse drills, this week's mission, what's coming up, and the Animal of the Day. • Search your journal, or the web with your own search engine. SAVE WHAT YOU READ • Highlight a line on any page and choose Add to journal. The quote lands on the page or project you pick, with a link back to where you found it. • Keep the whole page from the toolbar or the right-click menu. • Undo any save for ten seconds. LOOK UP ANY ANIMAL • Zoopedia in the side panel: a photo, both names, where it lives, what it eats and its conservation status. • Add it to your collections or start a journal page about it. • See the animals mentioned on the page you're reading. MADE FOR FAMILIES AND SCHOOLS • Children under 13 can use drills, missions and lookups; saving from the web stays off until a parent or guardian approves. • On school-managed accounts, the new tab shows this week's assigned mission and drills, with saving turned off. Teachers never see browsing. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Nothing is read from your tabs or pages until you drag, click or highlight. • Your browsing history is never read. The list of open tabs stays on your computer. • Only what you choose to save is sent, and only to Zoptiks. You'll need a free Zoptiks account (Get Started on the new tab). Everything you save syncs to Zoptiks on the web, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Android and Windows.
