About Zonelight – Time Zone Converter
Zonelight is a time zone converter for any web page: it turns a time someone else wrote into your time.
Highlight a date or time, right-click, and choose "Convert to my time". A small window shows the converted time in your local time zone, plus any other zones you saved.
What it understands
- Times like 3pm, 10:30 am and 15:00, with or without a date or weekday ("Tuesday 4pm ET")
- Time zone abbreviations such as ET, PST and UTC, offsets such as GMT+2 or UTC+05:30, and zone names such as Europe/Paris or America/New_York
- Dates like 2026-10-12, Oct 12, 2026 and 12 October 2026
- Daylight saving time, using your browser's own time zone data for the date you highlighted
Saved zones
Open the toolbar popup to save the zones you work with (for example the home office and a client's city). If Chrome sync is on, your list follows you to your other computers.
Private by design
- No account, no tracking, no analytics
- No network requests: everything is calculated inside your browser
- The extension does not read the pages you visit; it only receives the text you choose to convert
- Free
Good to know
Some abbreviations mean different things in different places. Zonelight reads IST as India Standard Time, BST as British Summer Time, and EST/EDT as US Eastern (daylight or standard time is chosen by the date). For anything ambiguous, use a zone name or an offset.
