Z Sound View

Z Sound View helps turn browser audio into visual signals across many websites where audio or video plays. It provides visual sound event cues, a sound radar that shows which browser tabs are currently making sound, and guarded English captions when speech is clear enough. It is designed for people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, or anyone who wants clearer visual awareness of browser audio. Core features: Visual sound cues such as music, speech, applause, laughter, alarms, and animal sounds Sound radar for audible tabs Guarded English captions for clearer speech across many websites Quick switch to the tab making sound Mute other audible tabs Adjustable caption position, text size, rows, opacity, and theme Dark and light modes Local processing on your device No account, no email, no ads, no analytics, no telemetry Live speed captions use your GPU through WebGPU; without it captions still work but lag, depending on your CPU Privacy first: Z Sound View processes audio locally on your device. Captions and audio analysis are not sent to Z Sound View servers. The extension may download machine learning model files from allowlisted model hosts on first use, then cache them locally in your browser. Important note: Z Sound View is a visual accessibility aid, not a guaranteed transcription or safety tool. Captions and sound detection may be incomplete or inaccurate depending on website behavior, audio clarity, background noise, music, accents, and device performance. Do not rely on Z Sound View for emergencies, safety critical alerts, medical, legal, or other high risk decisions.
