Shortcut Keys to Open and Close YouTube Transcripts Shortcut keys provide quick access to YouTube transcripts. Normally, to open a YouTube transcript, you must open the video description section and click on the "Show Transcript" button. By using shortcut keys, you can bypass these steps. The default key is Ctrl + S, but you can set your preferred shortcut key from Extensions > Keyboard Shortcut Settings (chrome://extensions/shortcuts). 2. Automatic Activation of YouTube Transcripts The transcript will open as soon as the YouTube video page loads. This feature is designed for users who find it tedious to manually open the transcript each time. This function can be optionally toggled on or off. 3. Automatic Selection of Preferred Languages for YouTube Transcripts If multiple languages are available for the transcript, this feature will automatically select your preferred language.
