Youtube Shorts Blocker For You

🏠 Home Feed Cleanup The moment you open YouTube, you're bombarded with an infinite scroll of Shorts. Our extension aggressively removes the "Shorts" shelf and any individual Shorts videos from your main homepage feed. This transforms your landing page back into a feed of the regular, high-quality content you subscribed to see. No more fighting for space against distracting, vertical videos. 📺 Subscriptions Feed Protection Your Subscriptions feed should be for the channels you love, not for the Shorts they might post. Shorts Blocker intelligently scans your Subscriptions feed and removes any Shorts, ensuring that every item you see is a standard video. Stay up-to-date with your favorite creators without the distraction of their short-form experiments. 🔍 Clean Search Results When you search for a topic, you want relevant videos, not an overwhelming grid of Shorts. We block the dedicated "Shorts" shelf from appearing in your search results and filter out any individual Shorts videos that would normally interrupt your search. This gives you a clean, relevant list of results, letting you find the information you need faster. 💡 Recommended Videos ("Up Next") Purifier Even when you're watching a regular video, YouTube's algorithm tries to pull you into a Shorts rabbit hole with recommendations in the sidebar. Shorts Blocker actively monitors and removes any Shorts from the "Up Next" or recommended video sidebar, keeping your viewing session focused on the current topic and preventing algorithmic detours. Extra Blocking: For the Ultimate Distraction-Free Experience We go beyond the basics to ensure Shorts have nowhere to hide. 📂 Channel Page Sanitization Hate seeing that "Shorts" tab on every channel page? We do too. This feature completely hides the dedicated Shorts tab on YouTube channel pages. While it doesn't delete the content, it removes the primary navigation point, encouraging you to explore a creator's full-length video library instead. 🔔 Notification List Cleaner We all get them: notifications tempting us to watch the latest Short. Shorts Blocker automatically scans your notification list and removes any Shorts-related alerts. This keeps your notification panel focused on real engagement—comments, mentions, and regular video uploads—saving you from impulsive clicks. 🔄 The Ultimate Solution: Convert Shorts to Regular Videos This is our flagship feature that sets Shorts Blocker apart. Instead of just blocking the content, this intelligent mode automatically converts and opens any Shorts video as a regular YouTube video. Here's how it works: when you click on a Shorts link (or accidentally navigate to one), our extension instantly rewrites the URL. Instead of opening in the annoying, looped, vertical player, the video opens in the standard YouTube player. You can now: Pause and scrub: Use the standard seek bar to jump to any part of the video. Control playback speed: Watch it faster or slower with YouTube's standard speed controls. Read comments easily: Access the normal comments section below the video. Use picture-in-picture: Seamlessly pop out the video in its standard format. This feature allows you to still view the content you want, but on your own terms, in a format that respects your viewing habits. Why Choose Shorts Blocker? Comprehensive: We block Shorts in more places than any other extension. From the homepage to the sidebar, we've got every corner covered. Granular Control: The "Convert to Regular Video" option provides a unique middle ground—watch the content without the distracting format. Privacy-Focused: Like other reputable blockers, Shorts Blocker operates locally within your browser. We do not collect, store, or track any of your personal browsing data or YouTube viewing habits . Lightweight & Fast: Built with modern web technologies, our extension runs efficiently without slowing down your browser or YouTube's performance . Open Source Inspiration: We believe in transparency and effectiveness, drawing inspiration from community-focused development practices . Take Back Your Time Don't let the algorithm dictate your attention span. Shorts Blocker is more than just an extension; it's a tool for digital wellness.
