YouTube Search History Hider

YouTube Search History Hider hides your YouTube search history suggestions inside the search dropdown, so your past searches won’t pop up when you click the search bar. This is especially useful when you’re screen sharing, presenting in class/meetings, streaming, or using YouTube in public—where you want a cleaner, more private search experience. Key features - Hides “search history / recent searches” suggestion items in the YouTube search dropdown - One-click toggle (enable/disable anytime from the extension popup) - Lightweight and fast — runs automatically on YouTube pages - Does NOT delete or modify your Google/YouTube history — it only hides the UI suggestions on the page How it works When enabled, the extension detects suggestion items that appear to be search-history entries (for example, items with a “remove” button, a history-style icon, or history-related UI patterns) and hides them from the dropdown list. Permissions & privacy - Website access (youtube.com): Required to hide elements on the YouTube page. - Storage: Used only to remember whether the extension is enabled. This extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. No analytics, no tracking, and no external network requests. Notes YouTube frequently updates its UI. If YouTube changes the suggestion layout, the extension may need an update to continue working as expected. Version 1.0.1
