YouTube Preference Engine

YouTube Preference Engine quietly learns your viewing preferences and scores every recommendation on your YouTube feed with a clear "Match %" badge, showing exactly how well a video aligns with your actual interests. Powered by on-device AI, it brings transparency to the YouTube algorithm without sending any of your data to the cloud. ✨ WHAT IT DOES: • Real-time Badges: See a beautiful glassmorphism badge overlaid on video thumbnails across your Home feed, Search results, and Watch page sidebar. • Match Percentage: Get an instant 0–100% score for how relevant a video is. • Instant Explanations: Know exactly WHY a video scored high (e.g., "You watch Fireship often" or "Relevant to a recent video"). • Profile Dashboard: Click the extension icon to see your personalized analytics, including your top channels and most-watched topic keywords. 🧠 HOW IT WORKS: 1. Preference Tracking: As you watch videos, the engine silently builds a profile of your favorite channels and recurring topics locally in your browser. 2. Smart AI Feature: Uses Chrome's Built-In AI (Gemini Nano) to deeply understand video contexts compared to your profile. 3. Fully Local: The extension works directly on your device. Zero analytics. Zero external APIs. Your data never leaves your browser window. Take back control of your algorithm and stop wasting time on videos you won't like!
