YouTube Language Filter

This extension makes it easy to find videos with original audio in a target language, by removing AI-translated (auto-dubbed) results. Filter by country to more quicky find a specific accent of the language. For example, Dutch from Belgium or the Netherlands. Spanish from Mexico, Spain, or Argentina, etc. Made especially for language learners who seek varied colloquial examples. You can also hide distractions such as comments, watch-page sidebar, metrics, and homepage feed. SETUP 1. Install the extension 2. Create your own YouTube Data API v3 key and save it in the extension window (see image). This is necessary for accurate language filtering. How do I get an API key? 1. Visit: console.cloud.google.com 2. Follow the directions by Google: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/getting-started HOW IT WORKS: • On YouTube, select a language • (Optional): Select a country or countries. This filters videos by the country of the channel they were uploaded by. Select whether you wish to see videos published by channels without a country. • Enter a search query • When applicable, the extension automatically translates the search query into the selected language • Results will have an audio tag that matches the selected language • Videos without an audio tag are excluded. Videos with a seemingly correct — but actually incorrect — audio tag will appear. • The extension saves the most recent language and/or country selection Privacy: This extension collects no data.
