YouTube Distraction Blocker

YouTube Distraction Blocker helps you take back control of your time on YouTube. Whether you're trying to stay productive, avoid mindless scrolling, or simply watch what you actually came for — this extension puts you in charge. With one click you can hide the parts of YouTube that pull you off track. Block the Shorts shelf that autoplays endless vertical videos. Hide the recommendations sidebar that lures you into watching "just one more". Remove the home feed so you stop browsing and start watching intentionally. Suppress Trending and Explore tabs that have nothing to do with why you opened YouTube. Disable autoplay so videos stop rolling on their own. Hide end cards that push you toward more content the moment a video finishes. Even hide the comments section if you want a cleaner, calmer viewing experience. Every toggle is saved automatically and syncs across your devices. Your preferences are remembered the next time you open YouTube — no need to reconfigure anything. This extension is completely free, contains no ads, collects zero personal data, and never communicates with any external server. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your settings are stored only on your own device using Chrome's built-in storage. It works seamlessly as you navigate around YouTube without needing a page refresh. Built for students, professionals, creators, and anyone who wants a more intentional relationship with online video. Simple. Lightweight. Private. No subscriptions, no accounts, no nonsense — just a cleaner YouTube experience starting from the moment you install it.
