YouChoose puts you in charge of YouTube. Hide what you don't want, block what you never want to see again, and get more out of the videos you do watch. Every feature is a switch in one simple popup. HIDE SHORTS • Remove Shorts from your home page, subscriptions, search, the sidebar and the Shorts tab. • Open any Short in the regular video player, with seeking and playback speed. BLOCK CHANNELS, VIDEOS AND KEYWORDS • Open the ⋮ menu on any video or comment and choose "Block this channel" or "Block this video". The same options are in the right-click menu. • Type a word into "Add keyword to block" in the popup to hide every video with that word in its title. • Block by channel, words in titles, video, or words in comments and live chat. Regular expressions are supported for advanced filters. • Pause the whole blocklist with one switch without losing your entries. FOCUS • Hide the recommended videos next to the player, and hide comments. • Hide Mixes, Movies, Explore & Trending, "More from YouTube", Report history and the footer links. • Filter out videos that are too short, too long, or already watched. SEE DISLIKES • An estimated dislike count next to the dislike button, on videos and Shorts. • A slim like/dislike bar to judge a video at a glance. SUMMARIZE ANY VIDEO IN CHATGPT OR CLAUDE • A "Summarize this video" button under every video. • One click opens a new ChatGPT or Claude chat with the full transcript attached and a detailed prompt filled in. Review it and press Enter. • Choose the caption language, timestamps and your own prompt. Your recent summaries are listed on the settings page. • Works with ChatGPT or Claude in your browser. No API key needed. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no tracking, no analytics, no ads. • Your settings and blocklist stay in your browser. • Dislike counts are looked up by video ID only. A transcript goes to ChatGPT or Claude only when you click "Summarize this video". Works on www.youtube.com.
