YabLab helps you learn a language from the articles and YouTube videos you already read and watch. Select a word to translate and save it, get your writing checked as you type, simplify a hard article to your level, and review your words in short daily sessions. WHAT IT DOES • Translate on any website Select a word or phrase to see its translation, part of speech and an example. One click saves it to your dictionary. • Dual subtitles on YouTube Subtitles appear in the language you're learning and in your own language at the same time. Click any word in them to translate and save it. • Your words, highlighted Words you're learning are highlighted on the pages you open, so you keep running into them in new sentences. You can turn highlighting off for any site. • Grammar check YabLab marks mistakes in comments, emails and posts as you type. Each fix comes with a one-line explanation of the rule, and short quizzes target the mistakes you repeat. • Simplify an article YabLab rewrites the text at your level. • Review Sessions use spaced repetition and focus on the words and grammar rules you get wrong most often. Stats show how your vocabulary and accuracy change month to month. • Anki import and sync Bring in your existing Anki decks. Words and progress are stored in your yablab.app account, so anything you save on one device is available on your others. GETTING STARTED 1. Install the extension and sign in with email or Google. 2. In settings, choose the language you're learning and your native language. 3. Read and watch as usual. When you hit a word you don't know, select it. 4. Save the words you want to learn. 5. Spend a few minutes a day reviewing them. WHO IT'S FOR People who would rather learn from real articles, docs and videos than from textbook dialogues. It also suits anyone who reads for work in another language or studies without a fixed schedule. PRIVACY We don't sell your data or share it with third parties. Text leaves your browser only when you use a feature: the word you select, the text you type while grammar check is on, or the article you ask to simplify. Highlighting of saved words runs locally.
