The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About WritePat

WritePat is a companion extension for WritePat (writepat.com), a newsletter-to-social publishing platform. Substack has no official public API, so this extension reads your existing Substack session cookie (while you're logged in at substack.com) and securely relays it to your WritePat account over an authenticated HTTPS connection. This lets WritePat publish Notes on your behalf from its scheduling and content queue. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any data beyond the session identifier needed to authenticate your Substack account with WritePat. No browsing history, analytics, or third-party data sharing is involved. Permissions used: - cookies: read the Substack session cookie (substack.sid) to authenticate the connection - storage: store locally on your browser - host_permissions (substack.com, writepat.com): required to read the Substack cookie and communicate with your WritePat account
