**Understand any word, right where you read it.** WordMate is a lightweight dictionary that lives inside every web page. Hover over a word — or select it — and a small WordMate button appears. Click it, and a compact tooltip shows you: - **Meaning** — clear, concise definitions with part of speech and pronunciation - **Synonyms & antonyms** — the 20 closest matches, each clickable for its own lookup - **Example sentences** — real usage examples so the word sticks No popups, no new tabs, no clutter. The tooltip is small, scrollable, and disappears the moment you scroll or click elsewhere. **Eight languages, auto-detected** English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Indonesian. WordMate detects the word's language automatically and shows the entry in that language. You can also pin a language from the toolbar. **Private by design** WordMate has no accounts, no analytics, and no ads.
