About Wireglass – GraphQL DevTools & Client
Wireglass is a GraphQL client and GraphQL DevTools extension for Chrome. A DevTools panel works as a GraphQL network inspector: it captures every query, mutation and subscription a page makes, lets you replay them, and lets you mock GraphQL responses. A full-tab client writes and runs your own operations, with schema autocomplete, environments and collections.
Nothing leaves your machine except the requests you send. No account, no analytics, no servers.
INSPECT TRAFFIC IN DEVTOOLS
• Every GraphQL operation the page makes, with its name, type, status, timing and size
• Batched requests split into one row per operation; persisted queries (APQ) labelled by hash
• Request, response, headers and timing for each operation
• WebSocket subscriptions captured alongside HTTP
• Filter by name, query, variables or response; show errors only
• Insights flag partial errors, duplicate requests, N+1 patterns and oversized responses
• Compare two operations side by side, with every changed value listed
• Copy as cURL or fetch, export HAR (secrets redacted unless you choose otherwise)
• Open any captured operation in the client, ready to replay
MOCK RESPONSES
• Rules per site: replace the response, patch it, delay it, fail it, or let it pass
• Match by URL, operation name or a variable's value
• See how your app handles errors, empty states and slow APIs without touching the server
RUN QUERIES IN THE CLIENT
• Schema-aware editor: autocomplete, inline validation and a browsable Docs explorer
• Introspection only when you ask, cached per endpoint
• Subscriptions over graphql-ws, subscriptions-transport-ws, Server-Sent Events and multipart HTTP, plus @defer and @stream
• Response viewer with tree, table, JSONPath filter and raw views
• Environments with variables and secrets
• Collections, with import from Postman and Insomnia
• Query builder: tick fields and arguments instead of typing them
• Pre-request and post-response scripts, run in an isolated sandbox
• History of every run, tabs, command palette and keyboard shortcuts
MADE FOR DAILY USE
• Light and dark themes (Wireglass, VS Code and IntelliJ styles) that follow DevTools or your OS
• Resizable panes and a compact layout
PRIVACY
Wireglass has no servers. Settings, history, collections, environments and cached schemas are stored in your browser only. Captured traffic is kept in memory and is gone when DevTools closes. Requests go only to the endpoints you enter, and only when you press Run.
