The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Who's Here?
WHO'S HERE? - CHAT WITH PEOPLE ON THE SAME PAGE
Have you ever wondered who else is reading the same article as you right now? Watching the same obscure YouTube video at 2am? Browsing the same concert ticket page, heart pounding, hoping there are seats left? Stuck watching a stream where the chat is members-only — while hundreds of other fans are on the exact same page, with nobody to talk to?
Who's Here? turns every webpage into a chat room. No accounts, no invites, no setup. Just open the extension and see who else is there.
Fans connecting during a locked-down Twitch stream. Shoppers comparing notes on the same product page. Redditors reacting to a breaking news article in real time. Students on the same course page realizing they're all stuck on the same problem. Whatever the page — if someone else is there, you can talk.
A NEW KIND OF CONNECTION
The internet has always been full of people — millions of us consuming the same content, visiting the same pages, sharing the same moments — yet completely alone. Who's Here? changes that with a simple, radical idea: every page on the internet is now a chat room.
Being "on the same page" used to be a figure of speech. Now it's a place you can actually meet someone.
No accounts. No profiles. No followers. Just you, a randomly assigned anonymous identity, and whoever else happens to be on the same page at the same time.
WHAT MAKES WHO'S HERE? DIFFERENT
Every other social platform on the internet asks you to build a profile, accumulate followers, and perform for an audience. Who's Here? asks nothing. You arrive anonymous, you speak freely, and you leave without a trace. It's the digital equivalent of striking up a conversation with a stranger at a concert — raw, spontaneous, and real.
The comment sections, the forums, the reply threads — they're all after the fact. Who's Here? is right now.
IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES
🎟️ Concert & Event Pages — Buy tickets and stumble into a live room full of fans counting down the days, debating the setlist, and sharing their excitement — or their doubts — right there on the ticketing page.
📰 News & Articles — React to breaking news with whoever else is reading it right now. Not hours later in a comment section. Right now, in real time.
🎥 YouTube & Video — Every video has a room. Find your people — the ones who found the same deep cut, the same forgotten documentary, the same 3am rabbit hole.
🛒 Shopping Pages — Considering that obscure item on Amazon? Someone else might be too. Ask them what they think. Or leave your honest take for the next stranger who wanders in.
🏒 Sports & Live Events — The game is on. So is the room. Celebrate, commiserate, and trash talk with real strangers watching the exact same moment unfold.
🌐 Anywhere on the Internet — Leave a message on an obscure corner of the web and come back later to see if anyone found it. Like leaving a note in a library book and wondering who will read it next.

HOW IT WORKS
Install Who's Here? from the Chrome Web Store
Browse the internet as you normally would
Click the Who's Here? icon whenever you're curious who else is on the page
Start talking — or just read what others have left behind
⚠️ ABOUT THAT PERMISSION WARNING — LET'S BE TRANSPARENT
When you click Install, Chrome will display this message:
"Who's Here? can read and change all your data on all websites."
We want to address this directly, because you deserve a clear and honest explanation — not fine print.
Why does Chrome say this?
This is Chrome's standard blanket warning for any extension that injects a chat panel into web pages. Because Who's Here? needs to display its interface on every website you visit, Chrome categorizes it under this broad permission label. It is the same warning you will see on many of the most popular and trusted extensions in the store — ad blockers, password managers, grammar tools, and more. The warning reflects Chrome's permission system, not the behaviour of the extension itself.
What Who's Here? actually does:
Reads the URL of the page you are on — so it knows which chat room to connect you to
Injects the chat panel UI into the page — so you can see and use it while you browse
That is it. We do not read the content of web pages. We do not capture your keystrokes, form data, passwords, or personal information. We do not modify pages beyond injecting our own panel.
What about purchases?
Who's Here? offers optional Super User upgrades processed through Stripe, a trusted and industry-standard payment platform. If you choose to upgrade, Stripe handles all payment information directly — we never see your card details. The only information retained on our end is a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your Google account's unique identifier. This hash cannot be reversed to reveal your identity — it simply allows the extension to recognize that your account has an active subscription across sessions and devices. No name, no email, no browsing history is ever stored or associated with your account.
The bottom line:
Who's Here? was built on the principle that anonymity is a feature, not an afterthought. We have no interest in who you are, what you buy, or what pages you visit. We only care that you find someone interesting to talk to when you get there.
We are a small independent developer and our reputation depends entirely on…
