HOW IT WORKS HTML media tops out at 100%, so Volume Booster routes the tab's audio through the Web Audio API — two shelving filters for bass and treble, then a gain stage — and plays it back amplified. The gain is a true amplifier, so the boost is real. (Note: pushing well above 300–400%, or large tone boosts, can distort depending on the source — that's normal at extreme levels.)
