Void Score shows you how any digital platform exploits your attention — before you engage. The browser badge displays a score from 0 to 12 for every website you visit, color-coded from green (low risk) to dark red (critical). Based on the Void Framework — a peer-reviewed research methodology with 57 published papers on Zenodo. 271+ platforms scored using a rubric derived from information thermodynamics, gambling regulation theory, and social neuroscience. WHAT IT MEASURES: - Opacity (0-3): How much of the system is hidden from you - Responsiveness (0-3): How the system adapts to your behavior - Engagement (0-3): How the system captures and holds attention - Gradient Direction: Whether the design steers toward dependency - Three binary modifiers: agent-to-agent dynamics, identity persistence, economic incentives Total Void Index: 0-12.
