Voice to Text — Free Voice Typing with Optional AI Enhance Turn your voice into editable text without leaving the webpage. Open the Chrome side panel, choose your language and start dictating. Basic Voice Type is free and requires no account. For cleaner writing, optionally connect your VoiceToTextOnline account and use AI Enhance. VOICE TYPE — FREE, NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED - Dictate in 55+ languages and dialects, including English, Spanish, French, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Bengali and Tamil. - Review and edit your transcript in the side panel. - Use Insert all to place reviewed text into a compatible webpage field. - Enable Type into page live to insert finalized speech while you dictate. - Copy text or download it as a TXT file. - Recover your local draft and reopen up to 10 recent dictations. - Open the side panel using the toolbar icon or Alt+V. - Dark interface designed for comfortable reading. AI ENHANCE — OPTIONAL V2T ACCOUNT Choose Clean, Format or Clean + Format, then press Enhance to process your transcript. Review the result in the same editor, use Undo to restore the original, and press Apply to page when you’re satisfied. Nothing is applied to the webpage automatically. AI Enhance requires a VoiceToTextOnline account and an available AI character allowance. It shares your existing website allowance; it is not unlimited free AI. Subscription options are available through VoiceToTextOnline.com. Basic Voice Type remains free without an account. HOW TO USE 1. Open the extension using its Chrome toolbar icon or Alt+V. 2. Select your recognition language. 3. Allow microphone access when prompted, then press Start dictating. 4. Stop, review and edit your text. 5. Copy, download or use Insert all. To type directly into a webpage while speaking, activate the V2T toolbar icon on that tab, click inside the destination field and enable Type into page live before starting. Live insertion is off by default for new users. USE IT FOR - Drafting emails and messages - Taking study notes - Capturing ideas - Writing content drafts - Reducing repetitive typing COMPATIBILITY Requires Chrome 116 or later and a working microphone. Direct insertion supports compatible inputs, textareas and editable webpage fields, including Gmail’s message body. Restricted Chrome pages, the Chrome Web Store, password fields and some custom or embedded editors do not support insertion. Use Copy and paste instead. PRIVACY Drafts, preferences and recent dictation history are stored locally in Chrome. Basic dictation uses Chrome’s browser speech recognition, which may send audio to its speech-recognition provider. VoiceToTextOnline does not receive your microphone audio in this mode. AI Enhance sends only the transcript text you explicitly submit to V2T and its AI processing provider.
