Vocabby — Translate & Save Words to Notion

Save the words you look up — and actually learn them. Highlight any word or phrase on any webpage to translate it instantly, right where you're reading — no tab-switching to a dictionary, no copy-paste. One click saves it — with the sentence it appeared in and a link back to the page — building a permanent vocabulary log that belongs to you. Free. Unlimited. No account, no API key, no card. ✦ WORKS THE SECOND YOU INSTALL IT Nothing to configure. Saved words live in Chrome on your own computer, ready to search, review and export. Notion is optional — connect it whenever you like, or never. ✦ PRACTISE WHAT YOU SAVED A built-in flashcard drill: ten cards, one clear end. Every word moves through New → Learning → Mastered as you recall it, so your collection becomes progress instead of a list you never open again. Drill in either direction — word to translation, or translation to word. ✦ INSTANT, PRIVATE TRANSLATION Powered by Chrome's built-in on-device translator. Nothing you read is uploaded to a translation server. 35+ languages, with the source language detected automatically. If Chrome has no direct model for a pair, the text is routed through English so it still works. ✦ OR SAVE STRAIGHT INTO YOUR NOTION Optional, and set up whenever you like. Words land in a Vocabulary database in your own workspace, ready for Notion's filters, views and spaced-repetition templates, alongside a progress dashboard. Already collected words in Chrome? Sync them across in one click. ✦ CONTEXT INCLUDED Every word is saved with the full sentence around it and a link back to the source, because words without context don't stick. ✦ WORDS THAT AREN'T ON A WEB PAGE Reading a PDF, a book, a subtitle, a chat? Paste the word straight into the toolbar popup and save it the same way. ✦ YOURS TO TAKE WITH YOU Export everything to CSV, Anki or JSON whenever you want. No lock-in, ever. ✦ PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Vocabby can only see the Notion pages you explicitly share with it — and only if you choose to connect it at all. Built for language learners, students, translators, and anyone who reads in a second language and is tired of looking up the same word twice.
