The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About VeilTalk — Private Browser Chat & Calls
VeilTalk is a free private messenger that lives in the Chrome side panel.
Chat, make voice and video calls, share your screen, send emoji, and transfer files without leaving the page you are viewing.
FEATURES
• Private one-to-one text chat
• Voice and HD video calls
• Screen sharing
• Emoji and P2P file transfers up to 1 GB
• Invitations through Chrome, Telegram, WhatsApp, or email
• Delete conversations and locally stored files
• Light and dark themes
• English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian interfaces
• No advertising, subscriptions, or paid features
VeilTalk stores your contacts, conversation history, settings, and transferred files locally in your Chrome profile.
Messages and WebRTC signaling are encrypted by the extension before relay delivery. Calls and file transfers use WebRTC and connect directly whenever network conditions allow. A TURN fallback helps establish calls on restrictive networks.
VeilTalk does not read your browsing history or webpage content. Its interface stays inside Chrome’s side panel, keeping your conversations available without covering the page you are using.
VeilTalk is currently free for everyone.
