Veil

Veil runs quietly in the background, watching every site you visit. The moment a URL matches one of your keywords, it's removed from your Chrome history — automatically, in real time. No timers. No manual cleans. No traces. KEY FEATURES 🔍 Real-time deletion History entries are removed the instant you visit a matching URL — before they can sync to your other devices. 🕶️ Per-keyword incognito redirect Toggle any keyword to automatically reopen matching sites in a private incognito window. The original tab closes itself. 🧹 Backfill scan When you add a new keyword, Veil immediately scans your entire existing history and removes any matches. 🌐 Smart domain matching Add facebook.com and Veil also catches search queries like google.com/?q=facebook — so nothing slips through. 🔎 Manual scan Run a full history scan at any time with one click. PRIVACY FIRST Veil stores only your keywords — locally in Chrome's built-in storage. Nothing is sent to any server. No analytics. No accounts. No cloud. Your keywords may sync across your signed-in Chrome browsers via Google's own infrastructure, but never leave it. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED • history — to search and delete matching entries from your browsing history • tabs — to detect navigation in real time and redirect matching sites to incognito • storage — to save your keywords across sessions Veil never reads your history for any purpose other than finding and deleting matches.
