The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About UX Inspector
RELEASE 1.0.0
UX Inspector now:
• Gives detailed information on failed context signals and highlights them on the page
• Exports a clearer report in JSON or Markdown
• Supports Opera Browser
---
UX Inspector helps you understand what happens on a website when you click, submit a form or move through checkout. Inspect page elements, debug analytics events, and validate conversion signals directly in Chrome.
Built for UX designers, CRO specialists and marketers, it brings your inspection tools into one side panel or pop-out window, so you can keep the page in view while you work.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• See the page at a glance
Identify website platforms, frameworks, analytics tools and experimentation technology. Review metadata, structured data and local performance signals, with evidence behind technology detections.
• Inspect buttons, links and forms
Pick an element to explore its dimensions, semantic role, accessible name and CSS selector stability. Get useful context for UX reviews, accessibility checks and conversion tracking.
• Follow analytics events as you interact
Watch dataLayer, Google gtag, Meta Pixel and Microsoft UET activity in a live timeline alongside clicks, scrolls and page navigation. Inspect event parameters, destination IDs and observable consent signals.
• Find the right conversion signal for you A/B tests
Record an action, such as an add-to-cart click or form submission, and compare what changed. Goal Signal Finder evaluates analytics events, URL changes, element selectors and visible page updates to help you choose a signal worth testing.
• Check whether your tracking is reliable
Repeat an action to spot missing events, duplicates, incomplete commerce parameters and signals that fire before the intended interaction.
• Review structured data
Inspect JSON-LD markup and check common schema types for missing properties and potential formatting issues.
• Turn audit observations into findings
Save findings by site and audit, attach relevant element details and export your work as Markdown or JSON for reports and handoffs.
YOUR INSPECTION DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
UX Inspector starts inspecting only when you click its toolbar icon. Processing happens locally, with no developer-operated backend and no inspected data sent to the developer. Data leaves the extension only when you choose to download or copy an export.
Privacy-safe exports mask common identifiers and URL query strings by default. Raw website analytics payloads can contain identifiers or sensitive information, so review exports before sharing.
Analytics inspection shows browser-side event calls; it does not confirm delivery to an analytics platform. Accessibility and performance checks provide focused context rather than a full audit.
Open a page, launch UX Inspector and start with the interaction you want to understand.
