The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About UX HeatGrid

See which buttons and links stand out on any web page and turn your own browsing session into an on-page heatmap. UX HeatGrid is a UX audit tool that runs in Chrome's side panel, with no setup, no tracking code, and no account required. Built for UX designers, product managers, developers, marketers, and anyone reviewing a landing page, checkout flow, or website layout. Check visual hierarchy and call-to-action prominence in seconds, then test the page yourself to see exactly what you interacted with. Predict — Find the controls that stand out - Classifies buttons, links, and other controls into High, Medium, and Low prominence. - Analyzes size, position, visual style, text contrast, nearby competing controls, and page context. - Explains positive and negative factors using measured values such as relative size, contrast ratio, and nearby control counts. - Shows confidence levels to indicate how stable each prediction is. - Outlines controls directly on the page, with a legend and filters. - Detects page changes and lets you run the analysis again. Record — Map your own session - Track duration, clicks, and scroll depth while recording. - Review clicks, hover duration, focus, and time in view for each interacted element. - Identify controls that were visible but received no interaction. - Visualize your session with an on-page heatmap, click markers, and scroll depth overlays. - Continue recording across same-site navigation and page reloads within a single session. Inspect — See the evidence Expand any result to understand the details behind it. Highlight the corresponding element directly on the live webpage. Privacy UX HeatGrid requires no account and makes no network requests. It does not use external servers, analytics, or tracking services. Analysis and recording data stay in your browser and are cleared when you reset them, close the tab, or end the browser session. Form values and typed keys are never collected. UX HeatGrid accesses a webpage only after you activate the extension there. How to use 1. Open a webpage and click the UX HeatGrid icon to open the side panel. 2. Under Predict, press Start to analyze which controls stand out. 3. Under Record, press Start, interact with the page, and press Stop to review your session. 4. Press Show on page to visualize the results directly on the webpage. Note: Predict estimates visual prominence based on page structure and styling. It does not predict actual clicks or user behavior. Record captures only your own interactions, not those of other website visitors.
