The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

WHY UNHITCH?
Most YouTube customization extensions haven't been updated in years - they break with every YouTube redesign and get abandoned. Unhitch is actively maintained and kept up to date so your toggles keep working.
YouTube's interface is designed to keep you watching longer, not better. Unhitch puts you back in control. Block the distractions you don't want, keep the features you do, and use YouTube on your own terms.
PRIVACY
Unhitch has no analytics, no telemetry, and no passive data collection of any kind. Your settings are stored locally using your browser's built-in sync storage.
The only network activity is optional and user-initiated: submitting a bug report or feature request sends your message to Unhitch's feedback server. Nothing is ever sent in the background.
Permissions used: storage (to save your toggle settings). That's it.
