About TypePilot
Type a shortcut like /reply in any text field and TypePilot replaces it with your saved snippet. Snippets can ask for details, do math, insert dates, and change based on your answers.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Create a snippet with a trigger (for example /thanks) and the text to insert.
2. Type the trigger in any text field on the web: email, chat, support desks, CRMs, documents.
3. If the snippet has form fields, fill them in. TypePilot inserts the finished text.
FEATURES
• Form fields: prompt for names, order numbers or any value with {formtext:name}, or offer choices with {formmenu:status:Open,Closed}.
• Dates and times: {date}, {time}, {date:+3d}, {datetime:YYYY-MM-DD}.
• Math: {= price * 1.15} calculates values as you insert.
• Conditions and loops: {if:...}{else}{endif} and {repeat:...}{endrepeat}.
• Clipboard, page address and site name: {clipboard}, {url}, {site}.
• Rich text snippets with bold, links, lists and alignment for email editors.
• Works in Gmail, Outlook on the web and most web editors.
• Folders, search and a dashboard for managing large snippet libraries.
• Built-in templates and a Learn Center with copyable examples.
• Import from JSON, Text Blaze or TextExpander exports. Export to JSON any time.
• Open the popup with Ctrl+Shift+Space.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
TypePilot reads what you type in web page text fields only to detect your shortcuts. That check happens on your device; typed text is never stored or sent anywhere. Your snippets are saved in your browser's local storage. TypePilot has no account, no server, no analytics and no ads.
