The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About TutorialPin
TutorialPin turns selected web instructions and manually entered tasks into clear, step-by-step checklists in Chrome's Side Panel.
When you are following a tutorial, setup guide, study plan, or work process, TutorialPin helps you keep your place. Select instructional text on a regular webpage, right-click, choose "Pin as Tutorial," and each non-empty line becomes a checklist step. You can also create your own checklist manually.
FEATURES
- Create checklists manually with one task per line.
- Turn selected webpage instructions into checklist steps.
- Keep the checklist visible in Chrome's Side Panel.
- Mark steps complete and see progress update immediately.
- See the first unfinished item marked as the current step.
- Add, edit, or remove individual steps.
- Rename and delete saved checklists.
- Keep checklists and progress after closing or restarting Chrome.
- Use the extension offline after installation.
- Use a light or dark appearance based on your system settings.
PRIVACY
Checklist text, page titles, source hostnames, timestamps, and progress are stored only in the current Chrome browser profile. TutorialPin has no account, backend server, analytics, advertising, tracking, external API calls, or remote code.
For a checklist created from a webpage, TutorialPin processes only the text you explicitly select, the page title used as the default checklist title, and the source hostname. It does not store the complete source URL or automatically read the complete webpage.
Manually entered titles, tasks, completion state, and other checklist information also stay in the browser. No checklist data is sent to the developer or shared with third parties.
TutorialPin requires Chrome 116 or later. Local checklist data is not synchronized or backed up and is removed when the extension is uninstalled.
