TruthLens — Who Reported It First?

Most "breaking news" is one source, repeated. TruthLens verifies a story from the page you're reading: one click traces it back to the outlet that reported it first, and shows whether other outlets corroborated it independently or are simply echoing that one source. WHAT IT DOES • Select any headline or claim and right-click it — or open the extension on an article page. • Get a verdict in about 20 seconds: is this independently reported, or is everyone echoing one source? • See the top sources with reputation scores, so you can judge the chain yourself. • Open the full analysis in the web app for the complete wire echo timeline — who published first, and who followed. THE VERDICTS • Single Origin — multiple outlets, all tracing back to one announcement or one report. • Independently Verified — outlets did their own work: own documents, own data, own filings. • Contested — sources genuinely disagree about what happened. • Sources Conflict, Single Source, Satire Detected. WHY IT MATTERS Volume is not verification. Fifteen outlets repeating one statement is one source amplified fifteen times, and nothing on a normal news page tells you which one you are looking at.
