The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Tracereader — Visual Inspector
Tracereader is a visual system reader made for web designers, graphic designers and creative developers.
Point at any element to see its typography, color, effects, dimensions and motion in a floating visual preview. Click to capture the element, inspect its full visual DNA and copy a clean reconstruction recipe. Select an image, GIF, video, audio, canvas, SVG, embed or CSS background to read its available visual metadata and dominant colors.
Tracereader starts with a 14-day unlimited Pro trial without entering a card. After the trial, Tracereader is free forever with 10 Full Reads every month; hover previews and the color eyedropper remain unlimited. The Pro plan offers unlimited Full Reads for $1.99/month or $19.99/year, with a separate and explicit purchase confirmation in secure Stripe Checkout. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; subscribed users can manage billing and cancel from the Stripe customer portal in Tracereader.
What Tracereader reads
• Typeface family, source, weight, size, leading and tracking
• OpenType and variable-font settings
• Colors, gradients, borders, radius and shadows
• Filters, backdrop blur, blend modes, masks and clipping
• CSS transitions, timing curves, animation names and keyframes
• Element dimensions, display and positioning
• Images, GIFs, video, audio, canvas, SVG, embeds and CSS backgrounds
• Media descriptions, sources, formats, intrinsic/rendered dimensions and playback metadata
• Locally sampled dominant-color palettes from media pixels or a visible-page capture
• One-click copy for every individual value, palette color and generated recipe
Built for trust
Tracereader activates only after an explicit click or keyboard shortcut. It processes website information and readable media pixels locally and does not transmit page content, media or browsing activity for remote analysis. Signed-out libraries use Chrome storage. If a user explicitly signs in with Google, Tracereader syncs only compact references the user chooses to save, along with account usage and subscription status. Before storage, Tracereader removes URL credentials and fragments from media links and strips query strings except strictly validated public Imgix image transformations and their image signature and reduces page references to a safe page reference. Media descriptions come from the page’s own alt text, caption, title or accessibility metadata; no image is sent to a remote vision service.
Tracereader identifies font files for reference but never downloads them. Always verify a typeface’s license before reuse.
