About TownOutings Event Clipper

The TownOutings Event Clipper makes it easy to capture community events from any website and add them to TownOutings — your local community events platform. How it works Visit any webpage with event information — a Facebook group, a library calendar, an Eventbrite listing, a city government site — and click the extension icon. AI-powered extraction pulls out the event title, date, time, location, cost, registration links, and more. One click to review, one click to submit. Features - Clip a single event from any event detail page - Grab all events from a calendar or listing page at once - AI extracts dates, locations, costs, registration URLs, and descriptions automatically - Data quality feedback tells you if anything is missing or needs attention - Review and edit your events directly on TownOutings after clipping - Set up Auto-Clip Pages to scrape event listings on a schedule — daily, every 3 days, or weekly — so new events are always captured - Works on any website — Facebook, Eventbrite, Meetup, library sites, government calendars, WordPress event plugins, and more Getting started: 1. Create a free account at http://townoutings.com/ 2. Go to Account → Extension and generate an API key 3. Open the extension, tap Settings, and paste your API key 4. Browse to any event page and click the extension icon 5. Hit "Add This Event" or "Add All Events on This Page" Who is this for? Community ambassadors, local organizers, library staff, city employees, or anyone who wants to help their neighbors discover what's happening nearby. If you come across a great event while browsing, clip it in seconds so your whole community can find it. Privacy: The extension only activates when you click it — it never runs in the background on pages you haven't chosen. Page content is sent to our server for AI extraction and is not stored after processing. Your API key is stored locally in your browser. Full privacy policy at http://townoutings.com/legal/privacy.
