The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Torbik — Clipboard Sack
You copy something, and three tabs later you need it again — but the clipboard
has long since moved on. Torbik fills exactly that gap.
An 8-bit character that sits in the corner of the page. When you copy some
text it asks "Stash this?". Say yes and it goes into the sack. Click on it to
search everything you have collected and put it back on the clipboard in one
click.
WHAT IT DOES
• Asks before saving what you copy — or switch it to save without asking
• Instant search across everything in the sack
• Pin the ones you use often; "Clear" leaves them alone
• Keeps your last 500 entries, never stores the same text twice
• Make the character yours: boy/girl, hood/hair/hat, six outfit colours,
four hair colours
• Turn off the wandering and waving if you'd rather it stayed still — or hide
the character entirely and use just the toolbar icon
• English and Turkish
YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU
Everything you save lives only on your own device, in the browser's own
storage. It is never sent to any server. No account, no tracking, no ads, no
analytics. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.
Anything copied from a password field is never stored — the same goes for card
number, CVC and one-time-code fields.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
Browser extensions cannot listen to the operating system clipboard. Copies
made in apps outside the browser — VS Code, a terminal, Excel — never reach
Torbik. chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store and the built-in PDF viewer are
also out of reach, by Chrome's security model.
After installing, reload any tabs that were already open.
SHORTCUT
Ctrl+Shift+Y (Cmd+Shift+Y on Mac) opens the sack.
