About Too Many Projects
Too Many Projects puts every Asana task assigned to you on one timeline, across all your projects and workspaces. It is for people who work in several projects at once and don't plan those projects themselves.
WHAT YOU SEE
• One timeline across projects. One lane per project or client section, over 4, 8 or 12 weeks. Bars run from start date to due date; tasks without a start date show as a diamond.
• What runs in parallel. A daily column shows how many tasks and projects are in play. The busiest day ahead is called out, and days with 3 or more projects are marked.
• Likely dates. Switch from Planned to Likely, and each task is stretched by your own track record, so you can see where today's plan is likely to land.
• Estimate reliability. The share of your tasks finished by their first due date, the typical delay, and how much longer work takes than planned. All measured from your own finished tasks.
• Deadline slippage. How many of your current tasks have been pushed later, and by how much.
• Context switching. How many projects you juggle on each of the next 10 working days.
• Backlog rot. Overdue tasks nobody has touched for weeks, oldest first, so you can close or reschedule them.
• Due soon. Today, the next 7 days, overdue, and the week after.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Read-only. It cannot change anything in Asana.
• Your tasks go straight from Asana to your browser and are analysed there. Nothing is stored on a server, and task names are never stored at all.
• Comment text is never requested.
• Colleagues are never named or ranked. Metrics about other people's changes are shares only.
Free. If it saves you time, there's an optional link to support it.
